The Adventure of Midem:

Twee crossed the pond to Cannes to explore the possibilities of the Midem Music conference... her thoughts are:

"Midem was daunting but at the same time very educational. I'd recommend anyone serious in music to save up and go! You'll learn a lot, meet some very interesting people and make some good contacts. I was very fortunate to have three publishing offers resulting from the trip and I'm looking in to those opportunities!"

In early 2010, Twee will appear in a new independent romantic comedy; two of her original songs from her new album will also be licensed for use in the film. In November 2010, a top Los Angeles based film making group will be shooting Twee's live solo and acoustic piano performance of her ballad "To Let Go".

Twee’s music has been featured on two national UK commercials. The video of Twee’s original track “SomeKindaHero”, which she wrote and performs, appeared on the SlingBox commercial for a period of three months in the UK during 2009 and “SomeKindaHero” was recently licensed for use in a national spot for Tesco, the nationwide UK retailer.

TWEE COLLABORATES WITH EX-JURASSIC 5 DUO!

Marc 7 and Soup, formerly of renowned rap group Jurassic 5, are making distinctive new music under the name “Portable Payback” and their new track is a smooth-groover called “Should I”. It’s a great song- featuring Twee! Portable Payback’s album is scheduled for release in the Spring 2010.

TWEE GOES HOLLYWOOD!

The producers of box office hits “Soul Food” and “Barbershop” have showcased two of Twee’s original songs in their latest major film!

The movie, titled ‘NOTHING LIKE THE HOLIDAYS’, starring John Leguizamo (Moulin Rouge, Romeo and Juliet, Carlito’s Way), Alfred Molina (Spiderman 2, The Da Vinci Code) and Debra Messing (Will &Grace) was released in the States and Europe on Dec 12th 2008 by Overture Films. The movies DVD was also released in fall 2009.

Universal Music has also incorporated Twee's original alchemy of songs in the movie's soundtrack which was released on Dec 9th 2008. To buy the soundtrack go to www.amazon.com and search for the movie title (Nothing Like The Holidays).

The film, 'NOTHING LIKE THE HOLIDAYS' is directed by hot indie director Alfredo De Villa (Washington Heights, Yellow, Adrift in Manhattan), centers around a typical American family during Christmas, except the family is anything but typical! Neither are Twee’s tracks, one of which is the original heartfelt ballad ‘TO LET GO,’ which Twee both wrote and performed.

Twee is also completing the last few tracks to her new album with cool writer/producer Stewart Cararas, who has worked with Enrique Iglesias and JoJo.  As well as producer Bigg John, who has collaborated with Ludacris and Macy Gray.

Twee’s new tracks- and videos- Are right here on this website, check them out!

During 2006 Twee collaborated with ‘Diesel Music’ winner ‘The Reluctants’ and worked and performed the EP. This was a great experience and further honed her skills as a writer and performer.

Back in 2005, things started with a bang for Twee and her band with an acceptance to perform live for Michael Eavis himself, the organiser of Glastonbury, along with other judges to compete for a slot that summer.
The standard was high, adrenalin was racing but they managed to pull through and win a slot along another band and performed in the Dance tent. Mr Eavis even ventured back stage to chat to them. It was an exciting experience!
Along with this came the bonus of having a track that Twee penned and performed called ‘Fantasy’ being put on the Glastonbury Unsigned compilation 2005 which was promoted and sold at the event as well as lots of press and coverage on Radio 1 and 2, XFM, Virgin, BBC6 music, and many regional radio stations throughout the nation as listed below.
